WM Building Services delivered the mechanical, electrical and public health services for the 63,798 sq ft DPD depot located near Gatwick Airport.

Delivered across an 8.25-acre site, the project involved the design, coordination, and installation of a comprehensive range of building services systems to support the operational demands of a high-performance logistics facility. Mechanical installations included high-efficiency packaged heat pump air handling units, integrated with induction jet nozzle systems, delivering in excess of 350 kW of heating and cooling to the warehouse environment. Dedicated heating and cooling systems were also provided to the office areas, ensuring efficient and comfortable climate control throughout.

The electrical scope comprised mains power infrastructure, full electrical distribution, and internal and external lighting systems, alongside EV charging provision to support future-focused transport requirements.

Sustainability was a key driver for the development, with the building incorporating a green roof and photovoltaic (PV) generation. These features, combined with the high-performance building services, contributed to the scheme achieving a BREEAM Excellent rating and an EPC A rating, supporting reduced operational energy use.
